This animated open is for the Knoxville Children's Festival of Reading.  60 percent of the animation was drawn with Pencil , a free multi-platform animation application that is very fun to work and play with; perfect for teaching situations.  I sent the programmers a modest donation to help keep this beneficial software project alive.  Pencil seemed like an appropriate tool, considering the theme of the animation.
